He won the SA DMC Championship four times and also won the Western Cape Regional Champs and DJ OF THE DECADE awards.

Perhaps better known as the DJ for (POC) Prophets of the City, He toured Europe extensively with POC and BVK for a period of 12 years – performing alongside groups like Public Enemy, Fugees, Ice T, Spearhead, James Brown, Rob Swift, Steve D, Will Smith, Black Eyed Peas, DJ Spinna, Jazzy Jeff, Slipnot, Cypress Hill, Eve, Akon, Grand Master Flash, etc
If not behind the Decks – he is producing music for various Artist and TV shows.
He enjoys superstar status with a cult following all over the Africa: Definitely the most exciting DJ in SA to see perform live.

GRAND MASTER READY D took the art of his brand of DJ’ing into many areas where it was unknown- eg: Big music events around SA such as the ICE FESTIVAL, SYNERGY, ROCKING THE DAISIES, OPPIKOPPI and the KKNK FESTIVAL- (week long tour into rural and underprivileged areas where most of the community do not have electricity) WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL,RAND SHOW, ALEX GROLL INTERNATIONAL INLINE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS, REDBULL DOWNHILL EXTREME CHAMPS, GRAHAMSTOWN JAZZ FESTIVAL, NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL and various trade shows.

DJ Ready D features in the main arena at the Clarkson Hammond and May Live show for six performances.

D launches G-CAP – a youth development programme. This initiative is filmed as part of Red Bull international’s Social Entrepreneur movie series.
D teams up with Cape Town’s Metro Police – working with youth at risk.
Hollywood pick up a DJ Ready D song titled Opgesaal to be a part of a scene in the film – City Of Violence (Zulu) – starring Forrest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom.
D and DJ partners – The BeatBangaz launch their Scratch Lab DJ Training Academy.
D – Launch his second solo produced album titled – Big Air Society and gets national distribution on the cover of Hype Magazine.
DJ Ready D gets involved with Cape Town Mayor – Patricia De Lille’s anti drug campaign by producing her radio advertisement, He manages to get the mayor to do a rap in the commercial. Weeks later DJ Ready D and Mayor Patricia De Lille perform a stage version of the advertisement theme song to a packed house.
D share deck duties with the Iconic DJ/ Hip Hop Pioneer – Grand Master Flash.
The Loerie Awards choose DJ Ready D to be their main DJ for 2008 – 2015.

Mzanzi Rides take D and his crew to California & Las Vegas with DJ Ready D showcasing his skills at the world-renowned SEMA and Los Angeles motor shows.
D is awarded with the Grandmaster award by Hype Magazine – it’s the highest honour an artist can receive in Hip Hop.
The Grand Parade Fan Park get’s rocked by DJ Ready D with close to 80 000 in attendance.

P.O.C. Are invited to be part of an event called RIGHT TO HOPE which deals with issues relating to trouble spots around the world & this is a coalition between NORTHERN IRELAND, S. AFRICA, THE MIDDLE EAST, RUWANDA & U.S.A.
P.O.C. Officially banned in South Africa & the group records in LONDON & tours all over U.K., WESTERN EUROPE, SCANDANAVIA, IRELAND & SCOTLAND. – Performances included facilitating workshops on HIP HOP culture & life in South Africa.

VOTER EDUCATION TOUR – Informing people all over SOUTH AFRICA on how & why they should vote in our first democratic election.
D and POC perform at Nelson Mandela’s Inauguration at the Union Buildings.
